R Systems is looking for a talented and passionate Senior Ruby Software Engineer to join our growing team focused on software development for the telecom industry.
As a Senior Ruby Developer, you will take on the responsibility of crafting reliable, compelling code that helps develop existing frameworks and modules. Your focus will also be directed toward improving user experience, delivering products that meet industry standards, and helping clients attain a better performance/cost rate.

Your contribution:
- Further develop the core framework and several custom modules
- Structure the backend data and framework that provides the workflow to process requests and helper functions for the modules to use (e.g. logging, database access, and LDAP lookups).
- Work on improving the user experience and delivering a quality product
- Further help the client tuning and optimizing distributed applications for performance/cost
- Make the best use out of our technology Stack: NGINX, Puma, Rbenv, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Redis Cache
- Handle both new features development and maintenance
Bring along:
- Excellent coverage of Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Solid database knowledge
- Hands-on experience using Linux
- The ability to learn quickly, utilize new concepts, and find creative solutions to problems
- Good written and spoken communication skills, including a solid English level
- A positive, solution-focused attitude and great analytical and organizational skills
Nice to have:
- Telecom industry knowledge (e.g., architectures, protocols, applications, etc.)
- Proficiency with programming in more than one object-oriented programming language, preferable Java, C or Python
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and JMeter
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall development
- Familiarity with custom modules
