The client & the project:
Our client is a U.S. educational company that offers low-price, online higher education courses that are equivalent to general courses required for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities:

• Being a part of a Scrum/Kanban team and work closely with the Developers/Solution Architect/Scrum Masters/Product  Owners to plan, estimate and validate features (business/functional requirements analysis and review)
•Design test scenarios/test cases
•Participate in testing activities, estimation and follow-up (testing features to ensure they meet all expectations and fulfill specifications)
•Create detailed bug reports, including instructions to reproduce them (and potential solutions if possible)
•Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the organization
•Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle

Required Skills:

• Good written and spoken English
• Good understanding of QA and defect management process
• Familiar with a product or project life cycle and what is required at each phase for testing
• Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS methods, status codes and authentication methods
• Experience in testing api/web services with Postman (or similar tools)
• Experience in working with databases (SQL language)
• Analytical mindset, strong work ethic and thoroughness
• Experience in working with project management/bug tracking systems (preferably Jira)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in working with Version Control Systems (Git)
• Experience in working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
• Experience in working with infrastructure tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, Grafana)
• Experience in working with NoSQL databases
• Experience in system administration
• Knowledge of Gherkin language (BDD approach, Cucumber)
